The theory of higher-order asymptotics provides accurate approximations to posterior distributions for a scalar parameter of interest, and to the corresponding tail area, for practical use in Bayesian analysis. The aim of this article is to extend these approximations to pseudo-posterior distributions, e.g., posterior distributions based on a pseudo-likelihood function and a suitable prior, which are proved to be particularly useful when the full likelihood is analytically or computationally infeasible. In particular, from a theoretical point of view, we derive the Laplace approximation for a pseudo-posterior distribution, and for the corresponding tail area, for a scalar parameter of interest, also in the presence of nuisance parameters. From a computational point of view, starting from these higher-order approximations, we discuss the higher-order tail area (HOTA) algorithm useful to approximate marginal posterior distributions, and related quantities. Compared to standard Markov chain Monte Carlo methods, the main advantage of the HOTA algorithm is that it gives independent samples at a negligible computational cost. 在以人道主义为本的应急救援活动中,不可忽视被救灾民和施救决策者们异质性行为的影响。一方面,将各灾民因救援物资需求未被及时满足而呈现的差异化心理痛苦度量成经济损失,并纳入应急救援调度的社会成本这一决策目标中;另一方面,在灾后物资调度决策中,关注具有异质性偏好的各应急决策者所展现出的不同救援态度。结合面向联合机会约束规划的动态供需平衡限制,最终构建一个考虑灾民和决策者们异质性行为的多阶段灾后救援物资分配和应急路径优化模型。采用2008年汶川地震为案例背景,应用遗传算法对模型求解和参数分析,将仿真结果与不考虑异质性行为的传统救援调度方案进行比较,得出一些结论为构建高效的应急救援体系提供有益参考。  相似文献

传统的航空客运需求无约束估计方法仅针对平行直达航班中的顾客需求“溢出”和“再 现”问题,未能考虑航空网络中直达和中转联程航班之间的网络替代效应. 基于顾客偏好排序列表定义了航空网络顾客类型集合,建立了考虑顾客策略行为的网络型非参数离散选择模型.考虑到网络环境下历史预售数据的不完备性,站在线上和线下交易平台的角度,分别建立了非截尾和截尾需求情况下的完备数据对数似然函数. 采用 EM 算法对顾客到达率和概率质量函数进行联合估计,并提出了网络环境下的顾客“初始需求”、“再现需求”和“溢出需求”无约束估计计算方法.通过数值模拟验证了所提方法的可行性和有效性,相较于现有方法能准确反映产品间网络替代效应对顾客选择行为影响,从而更加有效地避免对历史顾客“初始需求”的高估问题.  相似文献

Random effects regression mixture models are a way to classify longitudinal data (or trajectories) having possibly varying lengths. The mixture structure of the traditional random effects regression mixture model arises through the distribution of the random regression coefficients, which is assumed to be a mixture of multivariate normals. An extension of this standard model is presented that accounts for various levels of heterogeneity among the trajectories, depending on their assumed error structure. A standard likelihood ratio test is presented for testing this error structure assumption. Full details of an expectation-conditional maximization algorithm for maximum likelihood estimation are also presented. This model is used to analyze data from an infant habituation experiment, where it is desirable to assess whether infants comprise different populations in terms of their habituation time.  相似文献

Motivated by a proposal of the local authority for improving the existing healthcare system in the Parana State in Brazil, this article presents an optimization-based model for developing a better system for patients by aggregating various health services offered in the municipalities of Parana into some microregions. The problem is formulated as a multi-objective partitioning of the nodes of an undirected graph (or network) with the municipalities as the nodes and the roads connecting them as the edges of the graph. Maximizing the population homogeneity in the microregions, maximizing the variety of medical procedures offered in the microregions, and minimizing the inter-microregion distances to be traveled by patients are considered as three objective functions of the problem. An integer-coded multi-objective genetic algorithm is adopted as the optimization tool, which yields a significant improvement to the existing healthcare system map of the Parana State. The results obtained may have a strong impact on the healthcare system management in Parana. The model proposed here could be a useful tool to aid the decision-making in health management, as well as for better organization of any healthcare system, including those of other Brazilian States.  相似文献

In this article, a new algorithm for rather expensive simulation problems is presented, which consists of two phases. In the first phase, as a model-based algorithm, the simulation output is used directly in the optimization stage. In the second phase, the simulation model is replaced by a valid metamodel. In addition, a new optimization algorithm is presented. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, it is applied to the (s,S) inventory problem as well as to five test functions. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm leads to better solutions with less computational time than the corresponding metamodel-based algorithm.  相似文献

In this article, we study the algorithm of Kiefer–Wolfowitz underquasi-associated random errors. We establish the complete convergence and obtain an exponential bound. Additionally, we build a confidence interval for the minimum. Numerical examples are sketched out to confirm the theoretical results and show the accuracy of the algorithm.  相似文献

Nonparametric models with jump points have been considered by many researchers. However, most existing methods based on least squares or likelihood are sensitive when there are outliers or the error distribution is heavy tailed. In this article, a local piecewise-modal method is proposed to estimate the regression function with jump points in nonparametric models, and a piecewise-modal EM algorithm is introduced to estimate the proposed estimator. Under some regular conditions, the large-sample theory is established for the proposed estimators. Several simulations are presented to evaluate the performances of the proposed method, which shows that the proposed estimator is more efficient than the local piecewise-polynomial regression estimator in the presence of outliers or heavy tail error distribution. What is more, the proposed procedure is asymptotically equivalent to the local piecewise-polynomial regression estimator under the assumption that the error distribution is a Gaussian distribution. The proposed method is further illustrated via the sea-level pressures.  相似文献

In this article, we propose an efficient and robust estimation for the semiparametric mixture model that is a mixture of unknown location-shifted symmetric distributions. Our estimation is derived by minimizing the profile Hellinger distance (MPHD) between the model and a nonparametric density estimate. We propose a simple and efficient algorithm to find the proposed MPHD estimation. Monte Carlo simulation study is conducted to examine the finite sample performance of the proposed procedure and to compare it with other existing methods. Based on our empirical studies, the newly proposed procedure works very competitively compared to the existing methods for normal component cases and much better for non-normal component cases. More importantly, the proposed procedure is robust when the data are contaminated with outlying observations. A real data application is also provided to illustrate the proposed estimation procedure.  相似文献
